Terms of Service

Last updated September 12, 2026

These Terms govern your use of usepeel.com, the Peel Chrome extension, and related Peel services. By using Peel, you agree to these Terms.

1. Peel

Peel is a video-analysis tool that helps creators understand editing choices in online videos, including pacing, cuts, captions, motion, audio, structure, and other editorial patterns. Peel may also provide transcripts, AI-generated observations, timestamped analysis, and question-and-answer features.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Peel account, connected extension session, and any device used to access Peel. You must provide accurate information and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Peel only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use Peel to violate law, infringe intellectual-property rights, or bypass access controls.
  • Submit content that you are not authorized to process.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Peel, other accounts, infrastructure, or third-party systems.
  • Interfere with the service, intentionally overload it, scrape it at abusive scale, or circumvent plan, usage, security, or billing controls.
  • Reverse engineer or misuse Peel except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
  • Resell or commercially redistribute access to Peel without our written permission.

4. Your content and third-party content

You retain any rights you have in content you submit or select for analysis. You grant Peel the limited rights necessary to access, process, transmit, and temporarily store that content and related data to provide the requested service.

Videos available on YouTube or other services may be owned by third parties and remain subject to those services' terms and applicable copyright law. Peel does not grant you rights to copy, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit third-party content. You are responsible for how you use the information Peel provides.

5. Analysis accuracy

Peel uses automated systems, including AI, speech recognition, and audiovisual analysis. Results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or uncertain. Labels for fonts, sounds, transitions, motion, intent, or other creative decisions may be estimates rather than facts. You should use professional judgment and independently verify information when accuracy matters.

6. Plans, usage, and billing

Peel may offer free, subscription, lifetime, or other plans. Current plan details, included analysis time, pricing, and applicable overage rates are shown in Peel before purchase or on your account page. Plan features and limits may change prospectively, but we will not retroactively change charges already incurred.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe and renew according to the billing interval shown at checkout until canceled. You can manage or cancel a subscription from the billing portal available through your Peel account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise.

If your plan includes overage billing, usage beyond the included allowance may be added to your Stripe invoice at the rate displayed for your plan. You are responsible for charges generated by authorized use of your account.

7. Refunds

Refund requests are handled in accordance with applicable law and any refund terms shown at the time of purchase. Contact us at hello@usepeel.com if you believe you were charged incorrectly.

8. Third-party services

Peel relies on third-party services and platforms, including services used for authentication, payments, hosting, transcription, AI analysis, and video availability. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms. Peel is not responsible for third-party services outside our control or for changes that those services make to their products or availability.

9. Service changes and availability

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain, secure, improve, or evolve Peel. We aim to keep Peel available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Provider outages, quotas, maintenance, changes to YouTube, and other events outside our control can affect availability.

10. Intellectual property

Peel, including its software, interface, branding, design, and original service content, is owned by or licensed to Peel and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights in Peel are transferred to you.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Peel at any time. We may restrict or suspend access if reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risks, unpaid charges, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms. Where practical, we will try to provide notice before terminating paid access for reasons other than urgent security or legal concerns.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peel is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or guaranteed accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Peel changes. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. If a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it.
